Murrysville Garden Club Scholarship

The Murrysville Garden Club offers an annual scholarship to qualified students who are:
  • Former students or current high school seniors of the Franklin Regional School District
​- OR -
  • A relative of a Murrysville Garden Club Member
​
Applicants must be majoring or intending to major in one of the following as part of a two- or four-year program: 
  • Horticulture
  • Landscape architecture
  • Conservation
  • Forestry
  • Botany
  • Agriculture
  • Plant pathology
  • Environmental science
  • OR Allied fields 

​​Eligibility is determined on the basis of scholastic standing, financial need, and general ability. Those interested in obtaining an application should contact the Counseling Office at Franklin Regional High School or contact a member of the Scholarship Committee.

The deadline to apply is May 1.

​The scholarship program is funded by the Garden Club's annual plant sale which is held on a day prior to Mothers’ Day weekend. The club appreciates the support of the community in this yearly endeavor.

The Martha Miller Hummingbird Award

The Martha Miller Hummingbird Award is given annually by the family of Martha Miller. The recipient is chosen by the Franklin Regional High School Guidance Department and is given to a senior woman who exemplifies the same values that Martha did in her everyday life. Those qualities include contributions to one's community, character, and moral values.
